I launched my own bean-to-bar chocolate brand
Co-founded Beau Cacao, originally from London and moved to Briançon (France) in 2018—a bean-to-bar chocolate company focused on direct trade and transparency. Led all brand, story-telling packaging, photography and digital design.
Building from the Bean Up
In 2015, my partner and I co-founded Beau Cacao, a bean-to-bar chocolate company born out of a love for great design, great chocolate, and ethical sourcing. We travelled to Borneo, Malaysia to meet cacao farmers directly—creating relationships built on transparency, quality, and fair pricing. No middlemen, just real connections with origin at the heart of everything.
Craft Meets Clarity
While my partner led the chocolate-making, I focused on everything design: brand identity, packaging, website, product storytelling, and customer experience. We built a visual language that matched the care behind our chocolate—elegant, considered, and rooted in origin. Our bars stood out for their bold design and geometric moulds, celebrating the terroir and craft behind each batch.
Recognition & Impact
Beau Cacao gained international recognition for both design and product—featured in global bean-to-bar guides, stocked in high-end retailers, and loved by chocolate enthusiasts and design lovers alike. It was a hands-on, heart-led project that taught me the power of craft, consistency, and purpose-led design. Today, it remains a proud example of what can happen when design is embedded in every layer of a physical-product experience.
